Are you for or against wind turbines?

We're goiung to run a little poll on this site indefinately so please join in. All we want you to do is choose, are you "for" or "against" wind turbines.
We would hope that you take on board the info provided by the SWATT team but also that you research yourselves the pro's and con's and hopefully come to an informed decission. then let us know what you think!

In general I support wind farms. Climate change is the number one priority to tackle, and far greater in danger to all life on the planet than matters which affect a few living near to turbines.

'Borrowing' the landscape for 50 years to save the planet from overheating doesn't seem much of a sacrifice. When removed, the turbines leave as much trace as a house does, compared, say, to nuclear power stations.

However, I think that all options to cut emissions should be examined and the most cost-effective implemented first. This is usually saving energy.

I also think that offshore windfarms should be prioritised to land-based ones.

I receved a leaflet of yours thru the letterbox today. It contained a great many falsehoods and inaccuracies. I should know, since I am an environmental journalist. I spend half my time investigating these things. I would like to see your claims backed up by the source of your information. I don' tunderstand your motivation in spreading such falsehoods. Do you fail to see the bigger picture? What alternatives do you propose?
